If connecting cation (anion) exchanger with one stage mixed
bed in series, the producing
water quality can be SiO20.1mg/L, conductivity10Umho/cm. Such cleaned
water can be widely used in Industry boiler,
Electronic industry, medicine,
paper making, Chemical industry and Oil fields. Another
equipment of this type is Double-Layer atmospheric press
bed C.C.R up-flow regeneration cation (anion) exchanger. It has double-layer filling, i.e. put Strong and Weak resins as rate 1:1.2 into same
tank. Then both resins will have more exchange capacity and higher clean
water quality. Regenerant consumption will then be reduced, cation-anion one stage mixed
bed will have a producting
water quality of SiO20.1mg/L, conductivity5Umho/cm.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
1. Cation Exchanger
When Raw Water goes into H type Cation Exchanger with Cation Resin inside, there will be such
chemical reactioin:
Fe3+ + 3HR FeR + 3H+
Ca2+ + 2HR CaR + 2H+
Mg2+ + 2HR MgR + 2H+
Na+ + HR Na + H+
After the above reaction, all kinds of cations (Fe3+, Ca2+, Mg2+, Na+ etc.) may be absorbed on the exchanging resin. And H+ from resin will go into
water. Thus there is only H+ in water, and it will have reaction with all kinds of Anions in
water to form acid.
2. Anion exchanger
After Cation exchanged, acid
quality water goes into Anion Exchanger with OH anion resin inside, there will be such
chemical reaction:
H2SO4 + 2ROH R2SO4 + 2H2O
H2CO3 + 2ROH R2SO3 + 2H2O
HCL + 2ROH RCL + H2O
After the above Cation-Anion exchanging, more than 99% salt in
water may be removed.
